1. Processing on your device

CloneVoice runs its bundled voice model on your device. The app does not upload recordings, voice features, typed text or generated audio to the developer or an AI service. No account is required. We do not integrate advertising, tracking or analytics services.

2. What stays in the app

Temporary microphone recordings are removed after conversion, including when conversion fails. Voice features, your draft and generated WAV files remain in app storage until you delete them. These folders are marked as excluded from system backups and use iOS file protection. Closing the app keeps your draft and creations. An interrupted temporary job is discarded on the next launch.

3. Permissions and your choices

Microphone permission is requested only when you choose to record. You may decline and import audio you have permission to use instead. You can change microphone access in iOS Settings. Confirm that you own or are authorized to use a voice before recording, importing or generating with it. This confirmation is not identity verification.

4. Delete and withdraw permission

Delete voice removes saved voice features and temporary reference files, while keeping your draft and creations. Clear all local data removes the voice, draft and audio generated by this app. You can also delete individual creations. Other files you manually put in the shared Exports folder are preserved. Imported originals and files already copied, shared or saved elsewhere must be deleted at those destinations.

5. Files, sharing and other services

Nothing is sent automatically. Importing from iCloud or another file provider may use that provider’s network connection. Export and sharing happen only after your action, through iOS, using a temporary private copy. This copy is removed when the share sheet closes or on the next launch. Destination apps and services have their own privacy policies. Generated WAV files contain an audible AI marker and AI metadata; these do not verify a speaker’s identity.

6. Contact and policy changes

Contact hezhuangjs@gmail.com with questions or deletion requests. If you choose to email us, your email address and the information you provide are used to respond and handle your request, not to train a voice model. Do not send private recordings unless necessary. This policy is available in the app without a network connection. We will update it if our practices change.
